B1 – Intermediate level

Main objective:

To communicate fluently in everyday situations, express ideas, needs, and opinions, and understand more complex information than at levels A1 and A2.

Characteristics of level B1

Listening and reading comprehension:

Understand the main ideas of clear texts on familiar topics (work, school, leisure).

Read simple texts about everyday life or work (short articles, announcements, instructions).

Speaking:

Express oneself simply and coherently on familiar topics or topics of personal interest.

Describe an experience, an event, or a dream, or briefly explain opinions and plans.

Writing:

Write simple, structured texts on familiar topics.

Write short personal or professional letters.

Interaction:

Participate in conversations on everyday topics without special preparation.

React appropriately to unexpected everyday situations (travel, work).
